Good morning! It is a great pleasure for me to welcome you to today’s Seventeenth International Conference of Management Science and Engineering Management and welcome the participant from all over the world.

First of all, I would like to thank our host, University of Cape Town, for the great work they did organizing this conference. I also want to express my appreciation to Prof. Abimbola Windapo for her contributions to this conference in particular. In addition, I sincerely greet our guest speakers Deputy Minister Parks Tau, Professor Corrinne Shaw, and Professor Daya Reddy and many thanks to our distinguished guests for presence at this conference!

Over the past sixteen years, we successfully hold conferences in the field of MSEM and more and more prestigious experts and scientists worldwide are now showing their compelling work in this field. Every year, new discoveries appear, giving us fantastic possibilities to investigate innovative methods and technology for taking on novel issues. I hope that everyone can find informative topics by communicating and discussing freely on this conference.

In the following two days, 11 excellent keynote speakers (including Professor Klaus Mainzer, Professor Benjiamin Lev, Professor Abimbola Windapo, Professor Asaf Hajiyev, Professor Gheorghe Duca, Professor Kesh Govinder, Professor Patrick Manu, Professor Mitsuo Gen, Professor Yi Lu, Professor Fausto Pedro García Márquez, Professor Budi Nurani Ruchjana) will share us with their latest researches or experience, and over 40 scholars will share their research results and have heated discussions with each other in the parallel sessions. Welcome all of you, we all look forward to your great presentations. We hope that everyone who takes part in this fantastic online academic journey enjoys it and promotes your wisdom and exchange ideas. Thanks for your support that make this conference an achievement.

I want to express my sincere gratitude to the organizing committee, ISMSEM, institutions, and staff members who both directly and indirectly contributed to the accomplishment of this conference. I believe that this conference will be a feast of academic and cultural interactions. It will be an event of friendship and cooperation.
